PRIVATE FAMILY GATHERINGS
Following is our best effort at sifting through and accommodating the myriad of various civil and sometimes contradictory directives and mandates, as of 7/2/2020, and is subject to change.
Q: What sort of event is allowed at The Clubhouse at Anaheim Hills?
A: We can host “private family gatherings” (PFG’s), outside on our expansive terrace, with food & beverage services. As of 7/1/2020, we are not currently permitted to host indoor PFG’s, awaiting a 7/22/2020 update.
Q: What is a “private family gathering” (PFG)?
A: A PFG is an event composed of family & friends, who have through their r.s.v.p. responses, chosen to be seated with others whom are either from their same household and/or whom they are otherwise desirous & comfortable with being seated.
Q: So can I have a Wedding, a Birthday, a Quinceanera or any other sort of Celebration?
A: Yes, so long as all the parameters herein are honored, the nature of what is being celebrated is irrelevant.
Q: What is the maximum amount of guests I can have at my PFG?
A: Depending upon responses to ‘same household, same table desirous’ r.s.v.p.’s, a maximum of 12 guests can be seated together at one round table. Seats from every table must be at least 6’ away from seats of other tables, with floor plans accommodating various total guest counts, based upon a number of variables including room size and client preferences.
Q: Can we have appetizers and/or buffets at my PFG?
A: We can accommodate a limited amount of appetizers, pre-portioned, in closed containers and in certain circumstances, with our attendants and social distance guiding ground markings. Buffets are not currently permitted, as speed of service and safety would be compromised with inevitable line formation.
Q: What are my responsibilities, specific to having a safe and compliant PFG?
A: You are responsible for providing us with ‘same household, same table desirous’ assigned seating information, gleaned from your CH pre-approved invitations. You are also responsible for all of your guest and outside vendor behavior, particularly with regard to honoring of social distancing and face covering protocols.
Q: Can we have music and dancing?
A: We allow indoor dj’s & bands, though out of respect for our neighbors, we do not allow them outside, where we limit this to soft background ‘dinner music’. While dancing per se, is not prohibited, you are responsible for your guests’ behavior and compliance with all social distancing and face covering protocols.
Q: Are deposits refundable if I have to cancel?
A: Although deposits are never refundable, if your cancellation is due to a civil prohibition, we allow a re-scheduling with zero loss to you, no penalty, 100% of amounts pre-paid carried over to your new, mutually agreeable day/date/time for equal or greater revenue than that which you had promised for your cancelled date. Based upon when we receive your cancellation relative to your event date, an additional deposit for your new date may be required, all/100% towards your final balance.
Q: Can I have a bar at my PFG?
A: Yes, you can have a bar, and we will facilitate social distancing. However, as with all aspects of your event, you are responsible for your guests’ behavior and compliance with all social distancing and face covering protocols.
Q: Is outside catering permitted for an PFG?
A: We are able to perform PFG’s because we are an OC department of health licensed restaurant/kitchen and as such, we abide by restaurant applicable regulations. At this time, with current restrictions in place, outside catering is not permitted.
Q: What other restrictions are there on your PFG’s as compared to ‘normal’ non-covid time gatherings?
A: We don’t preset tables with china, glass, silver, or condiments and as always, as we are not liable for an unlikely though possible inclement weather occurrence, moving indoors is not a back-up plan, a risk you would be agreeing to.
